Fields have become one of my most requested settings for senior girls, and it’s easy to see why. Photographing close to sunset gives us that soft, golden light that photographs beautifully, especially when paired with tall grasses and a flowing dress.
I also love that a field gives us space for movement. Instead of every senior portrait being a traditional pose looking at the camera, we can walk, twirl, play with the dress, and create images that feel much more natural.
And sometimes I pull way back. These wider portraits are some of my favorites because they capture not only the senior, but the gorgeous Georgia landscape and evening light surrounding her.

One of the best parts of a full senior session is having time for multiple outfits and different looks. A colorful floral dress gave us an entirely different feel while still working beautifully with the natural surroundings.

Bring your closest friends, plan outfits that look great together, and we’ll create a handful of images that feel fun and natural rather than overly posed.

Creating Variety in One Senior Session
I love choosing senior locations that give us several different backdrops without spending the evening driving from place to place. Here, the rustic buildings gave us another completely different look while still fitting beautifully with the natural setting.
The combination of the soft white dress against the weathered wood is one of my favorite contrasts from this session. It feels timeless, but still very different from a traditional senior portrait.
