Family Fun in Smyrna
Laura is a good friend of mine from back in the day in college, which feels like yesterday but let’s be honest…we’ve been friends for awhile. 😉 She married her college sweetheart, Wes, and they have the most adorable kiddos – twin boys and a precious one year old little girl.
We met up in downtown Smyrna and walked around the area for a bit – it’s such a cute downtown with restaurants and bars and green space and the library all within a short walking distance of each other.
The kids loved showing me their favorite spots and we paused for pictures along the way.
The boys led the way down to the lake beyond the library, such a gorgeous backdrop.
Then it was time to walk back to the cars for an outfit change and we headed to a nearby park. Is she the prettiest little baby or what?! Love those baby feet.
Laura brought bubbles to the park which added a bit of magic to some sweet shots of their baby girl.
The boys ran too fast during the bubbles for me to get them on camera but they were sure adorable after. And their outfits were all so perfect!
We were lucky at this park there was a hill that worked for silhouettes, one of my favorite kinds of shots to take, especially at family sessions. The boys had superhero capes and cowboy boots for this portion, insanely cute. And the sky was dramatic too!
Wes is well over 6′ tall, so this silhouette is one of my favorite shots from the session – look how high that baby is!!
And we rounded up the evening with some time on the playground – the kids were so good, they had earned it. Sometimes those unposed shots of the kids just playing and being themselves are the very best.
