Ok y’all, I’m making a goal of blogging weekly until I’ve shared more of my client work from this past year! There are so many times that I shoot a session and never manage to share any of my work, especially during the fall craziness.
I took these family photos in Roswell during a “Petite” session, which to me is the happy medium between a mini and a full session. Petites last 30 minutes. Having that much time means I can capture the posed images and a handful of more candid moments. The in-between moments are always my favorite. Full sessions give you even more time and more variety!
We met at a historic home in Roswell that lets photographers book appointments to use their pretty grounds. I photographed this family session at Barrington Hall. A huge storm had rolled through a few days prior, which meant one half of the lawn was covered with a huge fallen tree, but I was just fine sticking to the filtered golden light coming in through the trees on this part of the property!
These clients are also really good friends. Most of my clients are friends first or friends after and I love it either way. 🙂 But there’s something extra special about capturing moments with a family that you know so well and love so much!
Sidenote – they rocked the styling for their family photos. I always recommend starting with a print and pulling coordinating colors from it, sticking to about 3 main tones. They NAILED IT. I send over an online styling website before sessions that’s a big help for getting your crew coordinated.
