An evening in the city
Looking for an Atlanta senior photographer? Check out this recent shoot I did in midtown! This session was all about tons of color, sunshine, and (duh!) a beautiful senior!
We met on the belt line on a warm summer night to start our session against the beautiful colored mural backdrop painted by artist Alex Brewer aka HENSE.

I love photographing against the vibrant colors here. It’s key to wear neutrals and/or solids for the subject to pop against this backdrop and she styled perfectly for it. *Styling tips come with all my senior sessions and make the difference between nice photos and amazing photos.*

We hopped across the belt line for the koi fish mural and some other backdrops, dodging cyclists and pedestrians. Things move FAST in the city for this suburban girl, y’all!

Next, we found a food truck. Why not shoot in front of a cool food truck? Then, we stopped by some fun painted containers sitting in an empty parking lot for a quick shot.
I love color but I think this shot against a painted white brick wall was my favorite from our entire time together.

We wrapped the session with a long walk through Piedmont Park, stopping at all my favorite places to shoot and chatting as we went. I love getting to know my seniors before and during the sessions.

The view of the city in the background with a beautiful sunset sky is also a favorite!

Graduating during a pandemic is insane but senior sessions are almost like they’ve always been and it’s nice to have one thing that you don’t have to give up!
Ashley McBroom is an award-winning senior photographer in the metro-Atlanta area. She photographs seniors in their element – be it the city, the forest, the river, or anywhere they love to go! She was recently named NAPCP’s (Nat’l Assoc Professional Child Photographers) Photographer of the Year! If you’re interested in scheduling a senior photoshoot, you can contact her here!
