As a photographer, every session is special. But there are those sessions where it feels like everything works in your favor – the light, the energy and emotions, the colors… and transitions from one shot to the next are smooth and natural – well, this was one of those. We had beautiful light streaming in the house and the nursery was so beautiful I honestly wanted to pack my bags and move in. The wallpaper alone is worth a scroll through these pictures- wow!

This couple was one of the most relaxed set of new parents I’ve ever worked with and that shines through in their images. Baby girl was easy-peasy, we started our session with wrapping and a little wooden bowl prop, moved to more posed images, then finished with family shots, and she slept through almost all of it! When baby is having a good morning I get the chance to capture more lifestyle shots along with the posed and that just makes my heart sing! Her little hand contrasted against daddy’s arm, wrapped up next to her fur brother on the bed, the up-close details of her lashes and cheeks…ahhh those are always some of my favorites. And grandma was in town so we had to pull her in of course too!
